"Just wanted to post up a pic of this terrific sounding duck call from Jacob Hyer of FowlWeather Custom Calls. It's called the Old Squall. It's similar in design and sound to the old standby Olt D-2. It has a 1/4" bore I think, and sounds extremely ducky on the low end and for a small bore it has a good amount of volume. Jake hasn't even got this model on his website yet. But he should. He even made it in my favorite Oregon Ducks, oops I mean my favorite John Deere colors with a copper band. This one is going on the hunting lanyard and this won't be my last FowlWeather call. "Just got back from some family time, playin' and fishin'...and eatin'.  Went to the post office to pick up the mail on hold...got your call and loved it.  Sat in the PO parking lot and wailed.  Quiet and rasping built for me and my style, for the creek bottoms and finishing in close.  I really can not say enough good things about the quality sound.

To be honest, the sound is better than I was hoping for...I do not believe I will have to do anything with it but kill ducks, I am very impressed!  The color is perfect, and the stopper is perfect"

I received the call yesterday and it is beautiful.  You did an amazing job.  This is all before I even blew it.  You are putting out a really nice call with all sorts of range.  This one is too nice to hit the lanyard though, so you’ll be hearing from me in the near future for an acrylic one to hunt next year.

Big thanks to Jake for the natural hedge single reed stub zero....compliments my double perfectly! Incredible tone and nice ring for wood on the high end. Not a collector so this call will be hunted. First FWCC (won't be my last) and couldn't be happier.
